In 1829 a group of British people left their homes and went out on a huge adventure trip to the Swan River colony in Western Australia. When they arrived, they had lots of disappointments and frustrations. However, this adventure led to the setting up of the settlement of Perth. In the Swan River, poor children had to work most of their life as they did not have good schools. Most children were home-schooled for their education.
To get there, the British used twelve ships that altogether carried 1,358 people, including the captain and crew.
The colony expanded in the 1900's and we know this is what we call Western Australia.
Soon the group arrived. The initial exploration was on the 8th of March in the late 1700's. Long before some of the British arrived, the group majorly suffered and had a lot of depression. The Swan River estuary goes through the city of Perth. Its lower reaches are relatively wide and endless. The Swan River had a lot of black and beautiful swans.
The Swan River group was packed with British people so it was British
establishment.
